Oh, we will be cumming again.😜 We come twice a year for years now. We know exactly what we are going to get and the place doesn’t disappoint. We always stay a week, and it’s easy to tell others the weekends are more party minded and the weekdays are relaxing. Room and dining quality mirrors top known high quality hotel/resorts. Oh island House, you never disappoint. Thanks for always giving what I need…and satisfying all my needs…again and again. 💦 😉

B G89 days agoYou won't want to leave.... I lost count of how many times I've stayed at the Island House, either by myself, with my husband, or as a guest of my friend Frank (who'd stay at the Island House when he was in Key West for business) but I know it started sometime in the mid/late 1990's. That being said, there have been many changes throughout the years and those changes just keep getting better and better. From check in on a Tuesday morning to our check out on Friday morning, the only negative I have to say is, we should have stayed about 2 more days but we had to get back to the west coast for work. For first timers visiting the Island House, DON'T overpack. You don't need a new outfit for every day. Depending on your stay, two pair of shorts and several different tops are more than enough. I took workout clothes and didn't even have time to wear them to the Island House gym. You will find a wonderful 24 hour cafe poolside that has some excellent food whenever you feel like eating, and if you order too much, you can stow leftovers for a midnight snack in your room's mini fridge. Speaking of late night snacks, they have a late night $5.00 per plate/bowl menu and it's just enough fuel to keep you going for the late night swims/jacuzzi/conversations you'll be having if you're a night owl. We always rent bikes while we stay at the Island House and it's a great way to explore the island and it's many restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. Yes you can walk, but the bike makes it that much faster to get to your destination and then back to the Island House if you have FOMO! Island House is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary and sadly we were unable to make it to any of their special 50th celebratory pool parties, BUT there are always Wednesday and Sunday special pool parties AND there's always happy hours where each registered guest gets 4 free drinks between 5 and 6:30 PM. So essentially there's a party every day in one way or another! A nice perk is that if you stay 4 nights during the late fall/winter/early spring, you are gifted 3 free nights during the summer! It's almost like a free vacation! And before I hear anyone saying how hot it is in summer, let me just say you will be chilling yourself in the pool, having fun in your air-conditioned room or under the misters! The best thing, I think about the whole Island House experience is that you can do YOU. It's a judgment free zone where you can have as much fun as you want or as little. If you just want to read a book poolside, go ahead. You want to work the pool like a runway, own it baby! It's your vacation and what you do is up to you! One thing I'll leave you with is this: Take the time to walk down the hallway past room 131 where there is a collection of photos/awards/adverts from the Island House's younger years. These are our forefathers who executed thoughts into action and helped this little enclave of cigar factories and cottages become the Island House. They show how the pool was built, It shows the spiral staircase being installed. They show young gay guys coming together to build something that not only they could take pride in and enjoy, but to build something that would become not just another hotel, but an experience. And when I say walk down that hallway, I mean take your time. Soak up the stories, the brotherhood, and the sense of community those pictures tell. Allow it to become part of your experience. You'll appreciate your stay at the Island House all the more.

David S124 days agoWarm hospitality, weather, and pool the perfect gay resort for us. loved the excellent service, the clean pool, the great choices in the restaurant and bar, meeting people from all over the country/world, being naked in the pool, the excellent masseurs, and all the fun! We stayed six nights and hated to leave. This vacation truly revived and excited us.

AdrianInRI177 days agoMore than i expected loved it !!! I’m headed home after a week’s vacation and now it’s back to reality. The room we had at the island house was much larger than I expected and it seemed to be recently updated. The food was delicious. The pool, hot tub, steam rooms and everything else were perfect. We met lots of nice people including locals (I like that a lot). I felt like you could do as much or as little as you wanted, chill in the room or socialize with others in the tub... I can’t wait to come back.
FarAway00085449430177 days agoParadise! The absolute best resort in Key West! We have been several times and some the tourist stuff, we find ourselves spending the day by the pool. The Mates are attentive and friendly, they remember your drink order throughout the day. We stay in SPF room, it is cozy and has everything we need to be comfortable. Looking forward to returning!

versdeguy206 days agoAnother fun visit Another great visit during Feb. 2026. This was my fifth visit in past 5 years,and Island House never disappoints. I had nice room with bath that was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool area is great, and the bar service and restaurant is excellent. Happy Hour each afternoon is a great way to meet and mingle with other guests. On-site restaurant is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Be sure to make reservations well in advance, as during winter months they are booked solid. I'll be back again next Feb.
