The National Park Service explains that Stonewall National Monument includes Christopher Park, surrounding streets and privately owned property, including the Stonewall Inn. From the park, those places can be understood together as the setting of the June 1969 uprising. This is more than a single landmark to photograph: the public space and street network are part of the historical story, while individual properties retain their own access arrangements.
Sources: National Park Service — Christopher ParkThe National Park Service records the opening of the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in June 2024 and links to its partner organisation for visitor information. It provides a dedicated point of interpretation alongside the outdoor historic landscape. Check the centre’s current arrangements before setting out; its visiting schedule should not be assumed to match access to Christopher Park or to nearby businesses.

Its historical score is therefore kept separate from current rankings. The source-based context added here does not refresh that score, establish a new local component or imply that data is absent from every possible source. Editorial review and score synchronisation are different operations.

A city score builds on its country’s context and adds local signals such as LGBTQ+ visibility, venues, events and tourism. A higher city score does not remove national restrictions.
