Give Schöneberg an afternoon of its own. Around Nollendorfplatz, Motzstraße and Winterfeldtplatz, cafés, shops and gay bars make it easy to build a day one stop at a time. This is one of Berlin’s longstanding queer neighbourhoods, with roots reaching back to the 1920s. Let the streets introduce you to that history before choosing where to spend the evening.
Books first, a drink later
Our suggestion is to begin with a browse at Eisenherz on Motzstraße, then leave room for a drink at Heile Welt. The two stops offer different ways into the neighbourhood: queer voices on the shelves, followed by conversation at the bar. Keep the itinerary loose enough for a café table or a detour towards Winterfeldtplatz along the way.
