A first drink in the Gaixample

Leave a little room in your Barcelona itinerary for an evening without a fixed plan. Punto BCN is a good place to begin: a spacious gay bar on Carrer de Muntaner where drinks and conversation set the pace. Opened in March 1990, it has been part of the Gaixample’s social life for more than three decades. For a first introduction to the neighbourhood, that sense of continuity is part of its appeal.

Let the evening take its shape

Come with friends for a catch-up, or make it your first stop before exploring more of the city’s nightlife. The relaxed atmosphere suits a drink and a conversation, while exhibitions supporting emerging artists add another reason to look around. Our suggestion: give this part of the evening some time, then head to Arena Experience if a dancefloor is next on your wish list.
