Give a waterfront walk a cultural stop beneath Harpa’s geometric glass façade.

Follow the light to the waterfront

Make Harpa the cultural pause in a walk beside the sea. The concert hall’s glass façade, created with artist Ólafur Elíasson and Henning Larsen Architects, brings geometry and shifting daylight to the waterfront. Open since 2011, it rewards a closer look even when a full evening performance is not part of the plan.

Make room for the music

Architecture is only the beginning here. Look through the concert and events programme before your trip, and you may find a reason to return after the daytime visit. We’d combine an architectural stop with the harbour, or build an evening around a performance and dinner nearby. Harpa belongs in a broader cultural itinerary rather than a list of dedicated queer venues.
